On this President’s Day weekend, some BNT skiers and coaches volunteered their time as trail hosts at Meissner Sno-Park. By greeting and mingling with visitors and providing hot drinks BNT hopes to encourage people to donate to the grooming fund. Tumalo Langlauf Club sponsors all of the grooming at Meissner and they’re hoping to purchase a new groomer for 2009-2010 with money raised this season.

Here are some photos of the Bend Nordic Team athletes volunteering today. Note the older couple in the group photo. She is from Norway and he from Denmark. She is 75 and has been skiing since she was 3 years old.
