Join the Bend Endurance Academy for this Cyclocross Development Camp designed for Junior & High School Cyclocross Racers, their Coaches and Teams. Designed to be challenging for each individual from beginner to advanced, this camp gives athletes and coaches an opportunity to spend time together outside of the race venue.
Academy Cycling Director, Bill Warburton says, “This camp is for riders and coaches who want to connect, share, train hard and have fun. We’re trying to elevate the level of riding and coaching in OBRA so that we can lead the country not only in cyclocross events, but in rider development, too. Getting organized on a regional level is going to be key to that success.”
He stresses that this camp really is for all abilities, saying, “This camp is for the rider’s benefit over the long-term. No matter where they are when they come in, they’ll go home tired, satisfied and amped up to keep improving. Beginners will leave feeling much more confident and advanced riders will learn from experts how to keep pushing their training and racing forward. Some will race casually, others might do the High School Series, others might try to go on to USGP’s or Nationals, whatever they do, they’ll have a good time at the camp.”

ENROLL NOW

Our summer cycling programs have grown in several dimensions since last year. The Mini & Mighty Bikes program has over 80 young riders meeting one to three days per week to learn skills, work with coaches and explore the trails, forests and creeks. For a full cycling program update- see our Summer Newsletter. To join the cycling program- click here.
Our cycling jerseys, bibs, shorts and skinsuits are now ready to order on our website! Last year, our deadline was in mid-August, but this year, it was moved to this week, so I need everyone to order ASAP!
Deadline is this Wednesday, JULY 27 at 5PM.
We will have our items by September 15th.
We will do another order in February for next summer.
Want to add your company’s logo to the jersey? Talk to Bill about sponsoring the uniform-541.335.1346!
Castelli is a Portland-based company and they have given us excellent pricing on our order so we’re getting excellent quality for a very good price.
The items run small, so the general guideline is to order larger than you think you need.
Some sizing guidelines:
- Sunnyside carries Castelli, so go try on something there if you’re totally unsure
- I usually wear a men’s Medium t-shirt, so I’m an XL Castelli jersey.
- Most 8 – 10 year old kids don’t need to order kid’s sizes, just get them a men’s small or medium and it will fit well and fit for more than one season
- Women can order the women’s cut, but give yourself some room and go up 1 or two sizes.
- Take your American bike-clothes size and add order 2 sizes bigger (Pearl Izumi, Champion, Louis Garneau)
- Take your Euro bike-clothes size and add 1 size (Santini, Hincapie)
- Small kids under 10 : Men’s Small
- Regular size kids age 10 – 12: Men’s Medium
- Junior Racers 13 – 15: Men’s Medium or Large
- Most adult men: Large to 3XL, going bigger won’t be bad
- Most adult women: WM to WXL, again, going bigger won’t be bad
- For bibs/shorts, go with the same size as your jersey or down 1 size
Use this chart to find your size, and then order one size bigger unless you like it really tight.
This is a custom clothing order, so if you order it, there are no refunds or exchanges, it’s yours.
We need you to pay for your order before we can submit it, so there are 3 ways to pay:
- Paypal online when you order — this is the best way!
- Check – mail it, or drop off at our drop box at the office or give it to us at practice
- Cash – hand it to us at practice or stop by the office when we’re there
Send all questions to Bill.
Cheers,
Bill
