Our 5 day camps are built on the time tested and very successful “Trout Lake Model.” Aimed at systematically improving your Nordic technique, fitness, strength and overall athletic preparation, these camps are designed for relative beginners and seasoned veterans ages 14-22 with some roller skiing experience. Past campers have included High School racers from Oregon, youngsters eager to break into the sport all the way up to Junior National Champions and World Junior Team Members.
Campers can expect to: skate ski on snow(June only), roller ski in both classic and skate technique, learn strength and agility drills, participate in pole bounding sessions, take part in a roller ski time trial and embark on other adventures. The camps will be built on a progression with specific workouts used to plot development over the course of the summer. Most PNSA coaches agree that our team has a long way to go to be competitive with the larger teams in our nation and a more directed summer camp schedule is certainly a step in the right direction!

Deschutes Camp- June 17-21, cost $200
Meet Wednesday afternoon June 17, 3:00 pm at the BNT offices:

Campers will be staying at a cabin along the Deschutes River south of Sunriver.
Come prepared for rustic camping with excellent food and training opportunities.
As the camp draws closer, we will inform you of the possibility of snow skiing in the High Country!
Camp ends Sunday afternoon following training.

The final day consists of a long hike or trek up Mt. Adams- depending on age.
2nd year J1s and OJs are invited on the Adams trip- weather permitting.

What to Bring
